FIELD TECHNICIAN III

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Field Technician III, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of multiple MK 41 VLS customers . You will play a crucial role in MK 41 VLS HM&E equipment is maintained and tested to the stringent VLS requirements to maintain National Security.
● Support fabricating, installations, maintaining, and repairing electronic, mechanical, and/or other types of components and equipment.
● Collaborate with the GDIT VLS Team to ensure operational status of contracted VLS HM&E work is completed to required procedures and specifications.
● Drive VLS Team to identify and correct any deficiencies found.
● Utilize HM&E experience to support the GDIT VLS Team in provideing the Fleet and Program are maintained to the highest levels.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your HM&E expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Field Technician III must have:
● Education: Associates of Arts/Associates of Science
● Experience: 3+ years of related experience
● Technical skills: Ability to Remove, Overhaul, Test, and/or Install VLS Deluge Tank Relief Valves, Marotta Valves, Hy-Check Valves, Root and Isolation System Valves, and Hydrostatic testing and certification of Hoses, Valves, and Tanks in accordance with NAVSEA requirements, Navy MRCs, VLS Authorized Procedures, and Technical Manuals.
● Security clearance level: Secret
● US citizenship required
● Role requirements: Problem Solving, Communication, Microsoft Word, and Excel, and understanding of Test Equipment/Gauge Calibration.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $29.32 - $39.68. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
