Job Description

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Senior Data Analyst with military program experience to support our Army Client in modernizing and sustaining fielded medical products, devices, equipment, and systems used on the battlefield.

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. Our work depends on a Senior Data Analyst joining our team and utilizing their data analytic skills to leverage data to gain insights, improve decision-making, and optimize acquisition reform, stakeholder engagement, logistics, and product authorizations.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

  • Provide data analysis to include gathering, cleaning, and preprocessing large datasets from various sources and performing exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Develop and implement data mining techniques. 
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders.
  • Develop compelling data visualizations to illustrate complex data relationships.
  • Respond to ad-hoc queries and requests for analysis from business stakeholders by creating custom reports.
  • Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand data needs and deliver solutions.  
  • Provide subject matter expertise on data-related issues. 
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the organization's data infrastructure and analytics capabilities. 
  • Conduct work considering measurable performance standards to include accuracy of predictive models, timeliness of reports and analyses, clarity of data visualizations, quality of code, and ad hoc report creation.
  • Ability to understand and apply life cycle logistics management concepts and methodology in the development of data visualizations that include data elements related to program planning, budget and execution, wholesale supply system, cataloging, contract administration/procurement, bill of materials, and basis of issue management.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
  • Required Experience: 5+ years of related data analytics experience
  • Required Technical Skills: Understanding of military, Army, acquisition, procurement, logistics, and fielding (preferably with medical devices/systems or Army Soldier Support programs). Experience in conducting data analysis of medical logistics readiness and briefing senior leadership on findings.  Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, Outlook, and TEAMS);
  • Preferred Technical Skills and Experience: Experience with Global Combat Support System-Army (GCCS-Army), Army Vantage, and other Army logistics systems. Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or other similar system and/or ability to learn quickly.
  • Security Clearance Level: Not applicable; must be clearable for a T1 Public Trust
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Exceptional communication, writing, and product management skills for developing documentation and collaborating with diverse teams. Adept at cross-functional teamwork and engaging multiple stakeholders. Ability to execute using Microsoft Office Suite, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as Microsoft Outlook.
  • Location: Hybrid (on-site 3 days a week at Ft. Detrick, MD)
  • Travel: Less than 10%

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $92,392 - $125,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
