Job Description


The Execution PMO Lead directs the project management organization responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of enterprise IT modernization and integration initiatives. This role provides leadership, operational structure, and disciplined execution across all active projects. The ideal leader brings deep experience in IT modernization, project delivery, integration activities, and PMO governance. This role manages and develops a team of project managers, drives adherence to project delivery frameworks, and establishes the process standards needed to ensure consistent, predictable performance across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the PMO execution function overseeing project managers delivering IT modernization, system integration, and enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
  • Establish, implement, and continuously refine PMO process standards, delivery frameworks, templates, and governance protocols to ensure consistency and efficiency across all projects.
  • Oversee project performance against SLAs, performance metrics, and contractual commitments; drive accountability and proactive issue resolution.
  • Direct change management processes across modernization and integration projects, ensuring clear communication, quality control, and alignment with customer expectations.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and enterprise leadership to ensure integrated delivery and smooth transition of technologies into production environments.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and operational guidance to project managers; build a high-performing, customer-focused PMO team.
  • Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and resource constraints across multiple simultaneous efforts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely project documentation, reporting, dashboards, and communications to customer and executive stakeholders.
  • Drive continual service improvement across delivery processes, workflows, tools, and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with customer leadership to ensure project goals, timelines, and outcomes align with mission requirements.
  • Support forecasting, resource planning, workload management, and staffing needs for all PMO-managed projects.
  • Maintain oversight of project budgets, schedules, scope management, and change control.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active Q or TS level clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of project or program management experience, including IT modernization or integration initiatives
  • Demonstrated success leading project managers and PMO functions
  • Experience designing, implementing, and enforcing PMO standards and processes
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT delivery, systems integration, cloud modernization, and operational change management
  • Experience managing SLAs and mission-critical performance commitments
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $144,500 - $195,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
