Job Description

Join GDIT’s Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services (EMITS) team and lead the charge in delivering critical mission IT projects supporting the U.S. Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF) and the Security Assistance Group - Ukraine (SAG-U) . As an IT Project Manager embedded with the Security Assistance Group – Ukraine (SAG-U), you will manage a complex portfolio of infrastructure, network, and operational technology efforts that directly support U.S. and multinational partner operations across Europe.

From TR build-outs and lifecycle refreshes to network deployments and COOP support, your leadership ensures successful delivery in a dynamic and high-impact environment.

This role demands sharp technical understanding, disciplined project execution, and an ability to unify diverse stakeholders to meet mission deadlines under pressure.

HOW AN IT PROJECT MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Lead full lifecycle execution of complex infrastructure and IT projects across secure environments, from concept through delivery and closeout.
  • Serve as the operational bridge between EMITS contractors, military leadership, DPW, the local Signal Brigades, and external mission partners to drive alignment and manage dependencies.
  • Own project planning artifacts (charters, work breakdown structures, schedules, risk registers, decision logs), ensuring traceability, accountability, and transparency for every task.
  • Oversee technical coordination for initiatives including mission space IT fit-outs, COOP deployments, and network integration activities.
  • Ensure compliance with RMF and DoD governance, aligning project milestones with cybersecurity, configuration control, and documentation standards.
  • Support change control and governance, actively participating in CABs and configuration boards to ensure disciplined execution and minimal mission disruption.
  • Lead project reporting efforts, providing regular updates to senior leaders, maintaining SharePoint sites, and developing briefings, timelines, and dashboards.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Security Clearance Required: Active DoD Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field, or equivalent military/contractor experience
  • Certifications: PMP certification or equivalent demonstrated experience managing DoD projects; DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of IT project management in secure government or military environments
  • Must be able to pass German TESA
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of coalition IT; RMF and DoD 8570 familiarity; Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, or Agile methodologies; Familiarity with DISA circuit coordination, Change Management processes, and ServiceNow workflows; Familiarity with DoDIN environments and lifecycle management; Proficient in Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and ServiceNow tasking; Demonstrated success managing stakeholders, resources, and timelines in mission-critical environments
