CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER

The Cybersecurity Engineer designs, implements, operates, and improves security controls that protect information systems, networks, applications, and data. The position supports risk management, incident response, vulnerability reduction, compliance, and continuous monitoring across the organization’s technology environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Certifications: Relevant DoW certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH, GCIH, CySA+, CCSP, or vendor-specific security certifications.
  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience.
  • Security Clearance Level: Secret
  • US Citizenship: Required
  • Role requirements: Onsite (New Orleans, LA)
  • Experience with network, endpoint, cloud, application, or infrastructure security.
  • Knowledge of common security frameworks and practices, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, security control assessments, and vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, networking protocols, authentication systems, encryption, and secure configuration baselines.
  • Ability to analyze scan test results and document findings clearly.
  • Strong written communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
