Solutions Director

Lead mission-critical initiatives and enable business growth as a Solutions Director at GDIT. You will provide business and technical architecture guidance by leading solution development teams and adjacent functional groups. Please note - this is not a proposal manager or traditional hands-on keyboard architect role. This position is fully engaged in capture and proposal development, creating artifacts, and running matrixed technical and management teams.

Candidates must demonstrate significant experience in dealing with high levels of complexity and building compelling proposals for Federal Government/DoW customers as a big-picture generalist. You will leverage technical domain specialists across AI/ML, Cloud, DevSecOps, Cybersecurity, Training, and Advanced Wireless to address mission needs. You will be at the forefront of innovation by applying digital accelerators developed as part of a corporate-wide IRAD initiative at GDIT.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

• As a Solutions Director, you will provide early customer engagement support to understand requirements, determine technical solution priorities, identify pain points, and shape the acquisition.
• You will influence technical requirements, coordinate and develop technical white papers, support customer calls, and develop RFI/SSN responses.
• Responsibilities include analyzing RFP requirements, evaluation criteria, and developing responsive, innovative solutions, including staffing and cost structures.
• You will work with stakeholders to develop solutions iteratively in accordance with the GDIT Solution Development Approach, reviewing approaches with leadership and subject matter experts.
• You will also participate as a member of the Defense CTO Team, collaborating with capability teams to develop differentiated GDIT offerings and curating our knowledge base of tools, techniques, and processes. You will actively participate in work “on our business” to improve the way we work with AI.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bring your initiative and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Solutions Director must have:

• Education: Bachelor degree or in lieu of a degree, 19+ years of related work experience
• Experience: 15+ years of domain expertise across one or more of the following: Cloud, Cybersecurity, Software, or AI/ML
• Leadership Experience: 5+ years of experience as a chief technologist or similar leadership role
• Technical skills: architecting technical solutions as part of proposal development and leading complex capture pursuits
• Security clearance level: ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
• US citizenship required
• Location: Hybrid--Must be able to go into the Falls Church, VA office
• Role requirements: Travel up to 25%
