HEALTHCARE CLAIMS EXAMINER

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Healthcare Claims Examiner, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. You will play a crucial role in insuring that Medicaid recipients are receiving the treatment that is needed and that the treatment is quality.
● The orthodontic chairside assistant in this position will be processing orthodontic prior approval requests with a specific focus on final payments.
● Collaborate with department leadership, Dental Director, Orthodontic Consultants to develop process improvements.
● Drive quality work by insuring all SLAs (service level agreements) are met.
● Utilize Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams), Zoom, and other web-based applications.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your orthodontic chairside assistant expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Healthcare Claims Examiner must have:
● Education: BA/BS degree
● Preferred Experience: 15+ years of chairside dental assisting

The likely salary range for this position is $58,650 - $79,350. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
