If you are passionate about software quality, automation testing, and leveraging the ServiceNow platform to deliver reliable solutions, this role may be the ideal fit for you.

As a ServiceNow ATF Tester and Developer, you’ll enhance system reliability and efficiency by designing and executing automated test scenarios while supporting agile development initiatives. Your work will ensure high-quality implementations, upgrades, and maintenance within ServiceNow.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, configure, and maintain Automated Test Framework (ATF) scripts for testing ServiceNow functionalities, integrations, and customizations.
  • Execute ATF scripts for patchingversion upgrades, and testing agile-developed stories to ensure platform stability and reliability.
  • Write and maintain test-driven development (TDD) use cases in collaboration with ServiceNow developers and project teams.
  • Troubleshoot issues during ATF execution and re-run scripts after fixes are applied to verify resolution.
  • Participate in agile sprint ceremonies and proactively identify test requirements and scenarios for user stories.
  • Create and deliver detailed testing documentation, including defect reports, test data, and results analysis.
  • Research and implement best practices and enhancements to ATF processes, improving automation coverage and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow features and ATF advancements to drive innovative solutions.

Required Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should have the following:

  • 3+ years of experience in ServiceNow ATF development, quality assurance, and automated testing methodologies (a must)
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow features, workflows, and capabilities, including customization via scripting (e.g., JavaScript, APIs).
  • Proficiency in automating test cases for patch testing, upgrades, and Agile story development using ServiceNow’s Automated Test Framework (ATF).
  • Strong understanding of test-driven development (TDD), with experience writing use cases to align with business and user requirements.
  • Ability to create reusable ATF test cases and suites to enhance testing efficiency.
  • Proven capability to identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate effectively with development teams.
  • Experience applying Agile development methodologies, including participation in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and creating tests for user stories.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to simplify and convey testing recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to effectively manage multiple testing initiatives.
  • Self-motivation and accountability to drive automation quality and testing efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, these qualifications are a plus:

  • Certification: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • Experience integrating ATF tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
  • Experience leveraging AI technologies to design and optimize ATF scripts and test cases.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and ServiceNow platform modules like ITSM, ITOM, and application-specific workflows.

What GDIT Can Offer You:

  • Flexible work environment.
  • Competitive 401K program with company match.
  • Comprehensive and customizable health benefits.
  • Collaborative teams of innovative, motivated professionals.
