MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Software Developer, you'll be a key member of our collaborative development team. You'll work directly with customers to understand their needs and build the best solutions to meet them. You will collaborate with business analysts to gather, refine, and validate requirements, ensuring we deliver solutions that meet business needs.
This role encompasses the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and maintenance of our solutions. You will work in an Agile environment, adhering to established best practices to deliver high-quality, reliable, and user-friendly applications. This includes delivering software iteratively and collaboratively, focusing on writing clean, reusable code.
Design, develop, and maintain visually appealing, user-friendly web interfaces with intuitive navigation.
Enhance existing solutions to deliver improved functionality and design.
Implement and oversee software process and configuration management throughout the development lifecycle.
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for software and web applications, supporting ongoing maintenance and upgrades.
Leverage strong understanding of software development principles, methods, and techniques, along with proficiency in relevant technologies.
Successfully manage and execute complex projects with minimal supervision.
This is an on-site position working within the customer environment.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Software Developer must have:
Education: Bachelors Degree
Experience: 5 years experience
Technical skills: Demonstrated ability to design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using modern web technologies; Ability to write clean, well-documented, and testable code, adhering to established coding standards and best practices; Proven experience integrating web applications with SharePoint Online, leveraging the SharePoint REST API to access resources; Deep understanding of web development principles, including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript with a proven ability to build complex, user-friendly interfaces; Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks with the ability to develop and maintain scalable, testable, and performant front-end applications; Experience with React, Bootstrap, Gulp, NPM, Webpack, and SASS; Experience with Maven and Vantage desired.
Security clearance level: Secret Level Security Clearance
US citizenship required
Role requirements: DoD 8570 Level II Certification; Ability to pass TESA requirement.
Desired Skills: Experience building solutions using the Office 365 platform (Teams, SharePoint Online, etc.) and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI); Experience with SharePoint SPFX and React framework for building web UI interfaces. Experience with .Net Core and C# for web solution development; Experience using Git for source control, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code review processes; Experience working collaboratively within an Agile development team; Experience building custom business applications using Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.

The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
