QUALITY ANALYST

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Quality Analyst, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the New York State Department of Health, Medicaid Management Information System. You will play a crucial role supporting the EDP Audit team by maintaining monitoring and reporting on the integrity of the eMedNY program based on contractual standards set forth by New York State Department of Health utilizing industry best practices in IT quality control and audit guidelines. This also includes monitoring operational processes and procedures, using sampling and hands on review of work products. This position is based at GDIT’s office at Corporate Woods office in Albany, NY.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Quality Assurance process auditing of check and remittance processing.
  • Financial verification of weekly Medicaid payments to providers utilizing system reporting and balancing techniques to ensure contractual automated system functionality.
  • Participate in annual audits (Transaction and Single State) 
  • Participate in ad-hoc requests from the customer
  • Perform contractual “System Level Agreement” auditing to monitor and report on compliance to NYS DOH.
  • Review and approval of SDLC processes and artifacts from a quality and audit perspective based on SLA and contractual requirements.
  • Create audit testing procedures to perform process audits of operational departments
  • Off hours availability, may be required to support staff or answer any questions they may have at the time an issue should arise

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

The Quality Analyst must have:

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or a related discipline
  • Required Experience: 2+ years of quality assurance or information technology experience
  • Technical Skills: Experience with computer technologies and applications; SQL, Excel, Word, Outlook, Zoom and Browsers
  • Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Must be able to multitask and perform tasks in a timely manner
    • Must be a rapid learner who can flawlessly follow complex instructions and analyze project results 
    • Ability to communicate with all staff, at all levels; clearly and concisely
    • Strong communication and writing skills
    • Knowledge of writing SQL queries
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong organization and time management skills
    • Knowledge of programming languages
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Mainframe experience is preferred
    • Programming skills: JCL, DB2, SQL, Easytrieve
  • Location: 50% hybrid work week

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $64,230 - $86,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
