Job Description

Position Title: Senior Analyst/Paralegal


Position Description: 


 As a Senior Analyst/Paralegal with a federal agency's Policy and Legal Affairs team, the candidate will aid in managing complex litigation in addition to document production and docket management for federal civil litigation.   


Position Duties: 

  • Handle complex civil litigation discovery, including document production  
  • Perform docket management for federal civil litigation  
  • Support a team of 5 to 15 persons with various requests related to ligation response and other related tasks  
  • Analyze large amounts of data and summarize salient points for leadership and other internal/external stakeholders  
  • Maintain a document repository by organizing and managing various documents both within and outside of agency databases   
  • Conduct legal research and draft documents  
  • Maintain contact with stakeholders  
  • Conduct administrative duties in support of federal staff 
  • Prepare presentations and summaries and brief senior leadership on issues that impact the UC program 
  • Review and edit procedures and program guidance to ensure compliance with policies and court rulings 
  • Support inter-agency and intra-agency coordination of UC program functions 
  • Support development and review of content for meeting agendas, reports, and responses to executive and Congressional inquiries 
  • Perform tasks related to document and knowledge management 
  • Support special projects as needed 

Education: 

BS/BA degree in public policy, social work, law, or a related field. 


Qualifications: 

  • Requires 5 years of paralegal experience with a BA 
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills 
  • Experience supporting federal civil litigation in federal court  
  • Familiarity with the Federal Rules for Civil Procedure (FRCP)  
  • Ability to multitask and support 5-15 team members at a given time  
  • Experience working with immigrant, refugee, and underserved populations is preferred 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Intermediate to advanced level facility with MS Office and databases  
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex litigation  

Additional Requirements: 

  • This position requires an existing Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.   
  • This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence at least three times per week at the customer location in Washington, DC.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $81,349 - $97,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
