Job Description

Overview:
The Audio Visual Specialist will contribute by configuring, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting AV/VTC systems for live events, MS Teams meetings, and other communication needs. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, and technical skills to ensure seamless event execution and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the design and implementation of AV solutions for organizational needs, evaluating new technologies, and providing recommendations to leadership to enhance infrastructure.
  • Research and recommend emerging AV technologies to enhance operational capabilities and align with organizational objectives.
  • Exercise independent judgment to create strategies ensuring the seamless execution of high-profile AV events and VTCs.
  • Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain AV/VTC equipment for conferences, live events, and virtual meetings (e.g., MS Teams).
  • Collaborate with clients to identify AV requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Utilize Outlook calendar and ticketing systems to manage and resolve support requests effectively.
  • Provide technical support, user training, and documentation for AV equipment and processes.
  • Monitor ticket queues, create and update tickets, ensure timely resolution, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Develop and document organizational policies and frameworks for AV systems and technology usage, ensuring compliance with operational guidelines. Maintain and document procedures, as-built diagrams, SOPs, and job aides for AV/VTC systems.
  • Deliver top-tier customer service through professionalism, clear communication, and technical expertise.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and brainstorming opportunities.
  • Assist with special projects and after-hours support when needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • AA/AS degree required, BA/BS preferred.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience managing conference rooms and AV systems (preferably in Government/Military environments).
  • Experience collaborating with VIPs and high-ranking professionals.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with VTC endpoints, conference room management, and AV system technologies.
  • Photography, videography, and post-production experience preferred.

Certifications:

  • Active/Current CompTIA Security+ ce certification preferred.

Security Clearance:

  • Active SECRET clearance required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Effective multitasking and prioritization. Adaptability under time constraints.
  • Build trust and credibility with clients and team members.
  • Able to identify improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Commitment to punctuality and reliability, with the ability to learn quickly and upgrade certifications as needed.

Work Environment:

  • Location: TARC, Arlington, VA; Full-time onsite.
  • Shift: Monday – Friday; Exact hours to be discussed during the interview.
  • Travel: Availability to travel less than 10%; most team members do not travel.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $70,658 - $0. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
