MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Senior Power Platform Administrator, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role in:


  • Administering and governing enterprise Microsoft Power Platform environments, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, and Copilot Studio
  • Managing Power Platform environments across development, test, and production, including environment provisioning, configuration, security, and lifecycle management
  • Establishing and enforcing Power Platform Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and connector governance
  • Managing environment security roles, permissions, access controls, and service accounts
  • Administering Dataverse environments, including security roles, capacity, auditing, and environment-level settings
  • Deploying, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring the Microsoft Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) Starter Kit
  • Implementing Power Platform governance standards, policies, guardrails, and environment strategies
  • Monitoring platform health, usage, capacity, performance, and adoption through Power Platform Admin Center and other administrative tools
  • Managing and monitoring Power Platform capacity, including Dataverse database, file, and log capacity
  • Supporting Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes and solution deployment across development, test, and production environments
  • Supporting Power Platform pipelines and other enterprise deployment processes
  • Managing connectors, connection references, gateways, custom connectors, and integrations with Microsoft 365 and enterprise systems
  • Supporting the administration and monitoring of on-premises data gateways used by Power Platform solutions
  • Supporting Power Platform licensing, capacity planning, service agreements, and procurement activities
  • Maintaining auditing, analytics, inventory, and administrative reporting for Power Platform environments and solutions
  • Supporting citizen developer programs by establishing appropriate governance, security, development standards, and operational guardrails
  • Reviewing platform usage and identifying abandoned, inactive, orphaned, or noncompliant applications, flows, environments, and connections
  • Supporting troubleshooting and resolution of platform, environment, connector, gateway, access, and deployment issues
  • Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), governance documentation, and technical documentation for Power Platform operations and maintenance
  • Enforcing change and configuration management processes
  • Collaborating with Power Platform developers, SharePoint administrators, architects, security teams, and business stakeholders to support secure and scalable solutions
  • Presenting and communicating technical and governance concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Serving as a technical resource for troubleshooting, consultation, governance guidance, and mentoring of junior staff

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education: BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required


Experience:

  • 6+ years of related experience with enterprise-scale systems or platform administration required
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience administering, managing, configuring, securing, and governing Microsoft Power Platform in an enterprise environment
  • Experience supporting multiple Power Platform environments and enterprise applications across development, test, and production

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform administration and governance, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, and Copilot Studio
  • Strong proficiency with Power Platform Admin Center and environment administration
  • Experience defining and managing enterprise Power Platform environment strategies across development, test, and production
  • Strong knowledge of Power Platform Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, connector classification, and connector governance
  • Strong understanding of Dataverse administration, security roles, permissions, capacity management, auditing, and environment configuration
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and operating the Microsoft Power Platform CoE Starter Kit
  • Experience monitoring Power Platform usage, health, capacity, performance, and adoption
  • Understanding of Power Platform licensing, capacity, and service limits
  • Experience supporting Power Platform Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), solutions, environment variables, connection references, and deployment processes
  • Knowledge of Power Platform pipelines and enterprise deployment practices
  • Experience administering on-premises data gateways and supporting connections to enterprise data sources
  • Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, security groups, service accounts, authentication, and role-based access controls as they relate to Power Platform
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Azure, SQL Server, and their integration with Power Platform
  • Ability to use PowerShell and other administrative tools to automate platform administration, monitoring, and reporting
  • Understanding of platform governance, security, compliance, auditing, and change/configuration management
  • Understanding of Agile methodology
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex Power Platform environment, access, connector, gateway, and deployment issues
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate technical and governance concepts to individuals with diverse technical backgrounds and job responsibilities
  • Ability to work effectively with developers, architects, security teams, administrators, and business stakeholders
  • Ability to serve as a support resource to mentor, coach, and develop junior staff
  • Willingness to stay current on Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft 365, Azure, AI/Copilot capabilities, security, governance, and emerging technologies

Required Certification(s)

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (PL-200) -or- Power Platform Solution Architect (PL-600)

Security Clearance Level: Must be able to pass a background check to obtain a position of Public Trust

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $79,900 - $108,100. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
