GDIT is seeking a Senior Software Developer to help support the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) Alternative Multi-factor Authentication Support Services (AMASS) program which is the primary authentication method for Department of War (DoW) self-service web sites.
*This position is 100% remote with minimum travel possible.
As a Senior Software Developer, you will be part of a team who is responsible for providing Identity Management services for more than 11 million users across 200 partner applications which include US Active Duty, National Guard, Retirees, Veterans, DoW family members, Federal Employees and Federal Contractors.
HOW A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
· Engage as a member of development team; develop code independently
· Develop understanding complex business rules and ensure those rules are correctly followed in design documents, specifications and development
· Conduct code reviews for assigned applications and participate in code reviews for other applications in the product suite.
· Develop understanding of issues involved in producing releases of software components
· Contribute suggestions and provide support to the other members of the team.
· Apply in-depth and broad technical knowledge to diverse technological areas
· Design, prepare and execute unit tests.
· Quickly and effectively resolve issues reported by customers and QA testers
· Collaborate with DMDC Enterprise teams
· Perform in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED – REQUIRED:
· CLEARANCE: Able to obtain a DOW Secret Clearance
· CERTIFICATION: DoD IAT Level II certification (i.e. Security+ CE)
· EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical/scientific field OR equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
· YEAR'S EXPERIENCE: 7+ experience in Java/JEE application development
· TECHNICAL SKILLS:
· Solid understanding of modern software design and development methodologies.
· Knowledge and experience with Agile methodology and practices, such as SCRUM and Kanban
· Knowledge of software configuration management and release management using GIT and Maven
· Solid understanding of testing tools and unit and integration test scripting, and testing methodologies.
· Solid knowledge of relational database concepts
· SKILLS & ABILITIES:
· Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to apply consistent quality and security standards.
· LOCATION: Remote (within CONUS)
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED – DESIRED:
· CLEARANCE: Active Secret Clearance
· TECHNICAL SKILLS:
· Knowledge in the following areas: JDK1.8, Oracle 19c database, XML, log4j, JUnit, Spring MVC, Weblogic, Restful Web service and Angular
· Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
· Knowledge of the DoD requirements for submitting a request for an Authorization to Operate and Authorization to Connect

The likely salary range for this position is $96,569 - $130,651. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
