SOFTWARE ENGINEER PRINCIPAL

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
The Software Engineer shall be responsible for implementing access controls and permission mechanisms for securing access to critical HPC system resources through robust permission management, ensuring compliance with the Agency’s security policies and industry standards.

● Education: Bachelor of Science
● Experience: 8+ years of related experience
● Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
Position Required Skills
Experience using the Linux CLI
Proficiency in scripting (Bash) to automate tasks and processes
Experience developing software solutions using the Python programming language
Experience implementing RBAC/ABAC for HPC systems
Experience with advanced Linux security administration including PAM, SELinux, file permissions, ACLs, and audit logging.
Experience developing IAM solutions using Keycloak
Experience implementing identity federation and SSO (SAML, OIDC, OAuth2)
Experience developing and maintaining secret management integrations using HashiCorp Vault
Experience developing Ansible playbooks to orchestrate the automation of provisioning HPC hardware and software components
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, PodMan, containerd
Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI
Experience with Git Source Control System
Position Desired Skills
Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies

The likely salary range for this position is $175,950 - $238,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
