Job Description

Organizational Change Management Lead 

Oversee complex programs that drive impactful mission outcomes for our customers as an Organizational Change Sr Manager. Here, you’ll see the bigger picture on mission initiatives and where your program management career can go at GDIT. 

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT 

As an Organizational Change Sr Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of federal IT and cloud transformations.  You will play a crucial role in Leading OCM initiatives for large-scale federal IT Cloud migration efforts (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) projects, including:  

  • Designing and implemented enterprise-level OCM strategies for federal agencies (e.g., DoD, DHS, VA, GSA). 
  • Creating comprehensive stakeholder engagement and communications plans to support change initiatives. 
  • Applying Prosci, ADKAR, or similar models in government or highly regulated environments. 
  • Leading the development of training materials and user adoption programs for new systems or processes. 
  • Deliver executive briefings, town halls, and change readiness presentations to federal stakeholders. 
  • Serving as the liaison between technical teams and business users, and translating technical change into business impact. 
  • Conducting organizational readiness assessments and impact analyses to determine change strategy. 
  • Identifying and mitigating resistance across departments or stakeholder groups in government organizations. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED 

Bring your program management expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Organizational Change Sr Manager must have: 

● Education: Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, Business, IT, Psychology, or a related field. 

● Experience:  

  • 7+ years of related experience performing duties as described above. 

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in organizational change management, including within federal programs.  

  • Demonstrated success leading change for large-scale federal IT initiatives such as cloud migration or ERP modernization. 

● Technical skills:  

Proficient in using OCM tools, such as: 

  • Change tracking dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) 

  • Surveys & feedback tools (e.g., SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics) 

  • Collaboration platforms (e.g., MS Teams, SharePoint) 

 

● Security clearance level: The selected applicant must be able to pass a security investigation for high-risk Public Trust. 

● Certifications (Strongly Preferred):  

  • One or more certifications in an OCM framework (e.g. ADKAR by Prosci, Kotter’s 8-step Process, Lewin’s Change Management Model, McKinsey 7-S Framework).  

  • One or more certifications in a Project Management Framework (e.g., PMBOK, Agile).

ADDITIONAL:

●Timeline:  This is a contingent position, expected to start by March of 2026.

●Location: Hybrid work arrangements, based in Washington, DC. Expect to be on-site 2-4 days a week. 25% or less travel outside the area may be required.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $147,292 - $199,278. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
