Job Description

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Ability to design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems

  • Experience in scripting using software languages such as Java and Python

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues

  • Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements and cost efficiencies

  • Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with customer best practices and guidance

  • Demonstrated experience working with Agile Scrum based development team

  • Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on customer needs

  • Experience with DevOps/Platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.), Docker,  Ansible

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing DevOps tools, such as GitHub and Jenkins, to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery

  • Strong understanding of web services, API, REST

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Familiar with Assessment & Authorization process and associated artifact collection process

  • Background utilizing Jira for documenting and tracking software development tasks

  • Documented experience with open-source technology, software development, system engineering and cybersecurity

  • Exposure to Terraform or IaC tools

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience

  • Required Certification: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or higher

  • Location: Herndon, VA

  • Hours: Contract core hours, 9am - 3pm; rotational on-call responsibility for team coverage

  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • US Citizenship Required

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
