The PAI Analyst will conduct research, collection, analysis, and synthesis of open-source and publicly available information (PAI) to support the creation of industry reports, planning documents, assessments, and information papers. This role requires a strong understanding of the social media landscape, as well as the technical proficiency to create, manage, and assess online social media accounts in support of mission objectives. The analyst will apply structured analytic techniques, digital tradecraft, and intelligence writing standards to produce high-quality products for senior leaders.
HOW A PAI ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Conducts open-source and publicly available information research to develop assessments, reports, and planning products.
Gathers and synthesizes information from multiple sources including surface, deep, and dark web environments.
Produces professional reports and information papers using U.S. military writing style and analytic standards.
Creates, manages, and evaluates online social media accounts to support mission activities and digital engagement requirements.
Utilizes Boolean logic, advanced queries, and digital tradecraft to conduct targeted research.
Applies knowledge of social media analytics and commercial marketing practices to assess platform performance and messaging effectiveness.
Supports planning efforts with industry research, data interpretation, and structured analysis.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred; equivalent relevant work experience and technical accreditations may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience:
Experience in open-source research, information gathering, and related analytic methodologies.
Experience as an intelligence analyst with demonstrated ability to produce professional military‑style reports and assessments.
Security Clearance Level:
Minimum DoD Secret clearance required.
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of surface, deep, and dark web research techniques.
Working knowledge of Boolean operators, advanced search queries, and digital investigative tradecraft.
Strong understanding of the social media environment and hands‑on experience operating and managing online social media accounts.
Knowledge of social media analytics and commercial marketing best practices.
Ability to synthesize data and communicate findings in clear written and visual formats.
Preferred Skills:
Technical knowledge of social media platforms, commercial datasets, and analytical tools.
Familiarity with relational database visualization tools and the ability to communicate insights through visual products.
Understanding of web development principles, website curation, internet footprint analysis, and digital fingerprinting.

The likely salary range for this position is $80,750 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
