Job Description

SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Systems Administrator, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of federal and defense customers supporting critical national security operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of enterprise systems that enable mission success.
● Lead the administration, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise IT systems, ensuring high availability and mission readiness
● Collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity teams, and program stakeholders to deliver secure and scalable infrastructure solutions
● Drive system optimization, automation, and rapid issue resolution to improve performance and reduce downtime
● Utilize tools and technologies such as Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms, cloud environments (AWS/Azure), and automation frameworks

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Administrator Principal must have:
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
● Experience: 5+ years of related systems administration experience
● Technical skills: Windows and Linux administration, Active Directory, VMware/virtualization, scripting (PowerShell/Bash), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), system monitoring tools
● Security clearance level: TS/SCI
● US citizenship required
● Role requirements: Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to work in a team environment, experience in secure/government IT environments, and willingness to work onsite as needed

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $107,744 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
