MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

The work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USSTRATCOM.  USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environment.

You will play a crucial role in providing support in the following areas:

  • Performing assessment of digital information, systems, and artifacts to identify indicators of compromise and intrusion activity across USSTRATCOM environments.
  • Gathering, preserving, and handling digital evidence in accordance with established procedures to support investigations and mission requirements.
  • Reporting on cyber threats, security breaches, and anomalous activity across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR networks
  • Conducting threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and risk evaluations to strengthen system security posture.
  • Supporting incident response activities, including triage, containment, remediation, and documentation of cybersecurity events.
  • Applying cybersecurity best practices, compliance standards, and hardening techniques to safeguard mission‑critical systems and applications.

 WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Technical training, certifications, or degree (equivalent experience may substitute)
  • Experience: 3+ years of cybersecurity, digital forensics, or information security experience.
  • Required Certifications: ITIL Foundations v4 Certificate or the ability to obtain within 9 months
  • Must have a current/active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI status
  • Location: Offutt AFB, NE

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience with incident response, threat hunting, forensic analysis, and cybersecurity operations.
  • Working knowledge of system security, network security, firewalls, Active Directory, and Linux‑based environments.
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk), intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability management technologies.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross‑functional teams and communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.\
  •  Understanding of compliance frameworks, risk management principles, and cybersecurity best practices in secure environments.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $86,700 - $117,300. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
