Job Description

Senior Instructional Designer

Do you love transforming complex topics into learning people actually want to take? Do you get just as energized designing a crisp, compliant eLearning module as you do building a lively, facilitator-led workshop? If so, you may have just found your next favorite role.

HOW A SENIOR INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Lead the end‑to‑end design and development of professional‑skill facilitator-led workshops and compliance/awareness base eLearnings, because you know great learning doesn’t happen by accident
  • Partner with learners, business leaders, and subject matter experts to define performance needs and translate them into clear, measurable behavioral outcomes
  • Continue to partner with stakeholders throughout the design process to ensure learning solutions stay aligned with business needs, guiding and influencing direction as needed to maintain scope and stay on track
  • Build multi‑modal learning solutions including storyboards, workshops, activities, job aids, and digital assets that are practical, relevant, and digestible. Primary focus will be professional/soft skill facilitator-led workshop design and development.
  • Design and develop facilitator‑led behavioral upskilling workshops that help learners practice new skills through interactive activities, realistic scenarios, and guided discussions, making behavioral change feel approachable and engaging
  • Develop Storyline‑based eLearnings, participant and facilitator materials, and other learning products that are clean, accessible, and designed for learner engagement
  • Work closely with facilitators to ensure learning experiences are delivered as designed and achieve intended outcomes
  • Share best practices, mentor junior designers, and help raise the bar across the L&D team
  • Support measurement strategies to evaluate effectiveness and inform continuous improvement

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT

  • You apply expertise in ILT/VILT and eLearning to design and develop solutions that align intended outcomes to learning outcomes, audience needs, and business context
  • You’re curious, collaborative, and enjoy solving problems with SMEs in a fast-paced environment
  • You can juggle multiple priorities and adapt gracefully when those priorities shift
  • You actively seek and provide candid, constructive feedback to continuously improve the quality of learning solutions
  • You care deeply about quality, accessibility, and creating learning that helps people do their jobs with confidence

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of degree, 14+ years in corporate Instructional Design required.

    • Track record for delivering measurable performance outcomes that enable skill development
    • Experience with facilitation of skill development workshops
    • Current experience interacting with senior leaders in a large, fast-paced, highly complex enterprise.
    • Must be willing to deliver a 15–20-minute presentation to Sr. Leadership as part of the final interview process.
