Own your opportunity to deliver high‑quality, secure, and compliant technology in support of critical healthcare initiatives. As an Automation Tester at GDIT, you’ll power innovation through robust automated testing frameworks, advanced validation methods, and seamless coordination across engineering teams working in a modern Azure‑native environment.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As an Automation Tester, the work you’ll do at GDIT will support the development, security, and reliability of a new healthcare portal operating in a FedRAMP/HIPAA‑compliant environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring applications, APIs, microservices, and data flows perform flawlessly and securely, contributing directly to mission‑critical healthcare service delivery.

● Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications, APIs, microservices, and data workflows.
● Design and maintain automated testing solutions using Playwright (JavaScript) and Selenium (Java).
● Conduct functional, integration, regression, smoke, performance, accessibility, and user acceptance testing.
● Collaborate closely with front‑end, back‑end, data engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth and reliable integration testing across multiple services.
● Perform API testing to validate payloads, authentication flows, error handling, and end‑to‑end behavior.
● Use SQL Server and SSMS to perform advanced database validation across large‑scale datasets using complex queries, multi‑table joins, CTEs, aggregations, and data comparisons.
● Validate data integrity across Azure SQL, Data Factory pipelines, and Power BI outputs.
● Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards and execute accessibility testing.
● Document defects, track issues in JIRA, maintain test artifacts in Confluence and SharePoint, and collaborate with developers to drive timely resolution.
● Support CI/CD pipelines through test automation integration and reporting within Azure DevOps.
● Participate in Agile ceremonies to ensure test readiness throughout development cycles.
● Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tooling, frameworks, and quality practices.
● Work independently on complex features and integrations while maintaining strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

● Strong SQL experience using SQL Server/SSMS, including advanced queries, CTEs, multi-table joins, and relational analysis
● Experience testing in Azure environments, including API, function, and database validation
● Proven experience with API testing tools and methods for validating workflows and responses
● Integration testing experience with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams
● Knowledge of Section 508 compliance and accessibility testing
● Experience with Agile tools and practices using JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
● Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
