GDIT is hiring a Deployment Site Practitioner to support the Veterans Affairs Electronic Health Records Modernization effort.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with a balance of clinical expertise and system implementation knowledge. They will have experience engaging with medical centers, analyzing clinical workflows, and collaborating with diverse teams to ensure a successful EHR deployment. Travel Requirements: Up to 50% to VA customer sites nationwide
Overview:
The Functional Deployment Site Practitioner will support the full lifecycle implementation of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system across multiple medical centers, ensuring seamless integration and adoption of the system. The successful candidate will have a blend of clinical, functional, and technical expertise to help bridge the gap between deployment sites and the EHR system implementation teams.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct and support discovery efforts at various hospitals and clinics, focusing on:
-Clinical workflows
- Clinical services
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Shared services
- Research information
Analyze discovery findings post-engagement to define functional and clinical scope, as well as requirements.
Develop a deep understanding of the client’s standard capabilities, workflows, and services to facilitate discovery and effectively perform gap analysis.
Provide recommendations for addressing identified capability gaps during the deployment process.
Build and manage relationships with clinical and functional stakeholders at deployment sites.
Serve as a liaison between technical and clinical teams, translating requirements and system changes to ensure mutual understanding and alignment.
Support key deployment activities, including:
User Readiness Assessments (URA)
Data collection and system build
Testing, training, and adoption events
Collaborate with Change Management (CM) and End User Engagement & Adoption (EUEA) teams to provide clinical guidance and ensure organizational readiness.
Document and share lessons learned throughout the deployment lifecycle to refine and improve future implementation processes.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications
Experience with hospital and clinic assessment processes.
Experience and familiarity with clinical information systems.
Knowledge and understanding of inpatient and outpatient healthcare services.
Prior experience with Oracle EHR systems (or similar enterprise EHR systems).

The likely salary range for this position is $145,560 - $196,934. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
