Job Description

HOW A SOFTWARE ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Develop and maintain applications using Java 8 (or similar) and jQuery.
  • Build and enhance solutions with Oracle Commerce products, specifically:
    • ATG Web Commerce 11.4
    • Endeca Commerce 11.4
    • Oracle Secure Enterprise Search 11.4
  • Provide application support, including but not limited to:
    • Querying and analyzing database information to produce requested reports.
    • Deploying environments on web and application servers.
    • Performing load and performance testing.
    • Managing certificates and overseeing server health monitoring.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college/university.
  • Alternative Path: In lieu of a degree, candidates must possess an additional four (4) years of relevant work experience.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in Information Technology.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Java 8 (or similar versions) for application development.
  • Web development expertise using:
    • React
    • jQuery
    • Bootstrap
    • HTML5
    • CSS
  • Extensive experience in application support, including:
    • Querying and analyzing databases.
    • Deploying to web and application servers.
    • Performing load/performance testing.
    • Managing SSL/TLS certificates.
    • Monitoring health metrics for servers.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as:
    • Selenium
    • Playwright
    • Similar tools.
  • Proficiency in version control using Git and repositories like GitHub.
  • Application development and maintenance experience with Oracle Commerce products:
    • ATG Web Commerce 11.4
    • Endeca Commerce 11.4
    • Oracle Secure Enterprise Search 11.4.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like:
    • EBS Jenkins
    • GitHub Actions.
  • Hands-on knowledge of WebSphereWebLogic, and Linux server environments.
  • Experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge or experience with incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into software engineering solutions.

Other Information

  • This position will require an individual with strong technical expertise, independent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work with cross-functional teams (agile methodologies preferred).

Security Clearance Level:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
  • This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $128,039 - $173,229. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
