As a Contract Support Assistant, you are the foundation of the contracting office providing expert support to the Contract Manager by handling all administrative tasks. You exhibit exceptional technical and customer service skills in the conduct of the contracting process. HOW AN CONTRACT SUPPORT ASSISTANT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Printing, filing, reviewing and editing contract documents.
  • Obtaining signatures as required.
  • Compiling documents for review and execution.
  • Maintaining contract files in accordance with procedures.
  • Assisting with archiving old contract files.
  • Performing data entry and updating the invoice database.
  • Conducting research and compiling reports for presentations.
  • Conducting other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Required Education: AA/AS and 5+years of experience
  • Required Technical Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Basic understanding of the contracting process.
    • Communicate professionally both verbally and in writing to convey information clearly and concisely
    • Apply critical thinking skills.
    • Attention to detail to minimize clerical errors and mistakes.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Independently manage tasks and responsibilities.
    • Strong initiative; willingness to learn.
    • Great customer service skills
  • Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility.
  • Location: On Customer Site, Arlington, VA

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $36.77 - $49.75. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
