Job Description

GDIT is looking for Mid Systems Administrator to join our National Institutes of Health (NIH) CIT Hosting and Storage Services Program.

This is a HYBRID role - 3 days on customer site in Bethesda MD.

This role will require you to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and will require you to provide onsite fingerprinting at a designated facility.  This investigation may review personal and criminal behavior, financial conduct, foreign influence, as well as other adjudications.

Responsibilities:

  • Handles routine O&M, ticket resolution, and monitoring
  • Supports patching and configuration updates
  • Updates SOPs and documentation as directed
  • Create custom scripts for deployment, for remediation of issues, in conjunction with software deployments, or as standalone utilities
  • Provide tier three support for Desktop Support/Service Desk on application installation/configuration/functionality issues
  • Document and evaluate technical issues and their workarounds or solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4 years supporting system administration and monitoring
  • Experience with patching and ticket resolution
  • Skilled in following SOPs and documented procedures
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to correctly read and interpret Windows system, application logs and third-party application log files.
  • Experience creating workaround communications and knowledge base documents.
  • Experience working with change control in a large enterprise environment

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $93,662 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
