Job Description

MAINTENANCE TRADES HELPER

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Maintenance Trades Helper, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of multiple VLS customers. You will play a crucial role in ensure MK 41 VLS equipment is maintained and tested to the stringent VLS requirements to maintain National Security.

  • Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks including; but not limited to; lifting and moving materials up to 100 lbs.; loading and unloading vehicles and other activities in a helping or assisting means.
  • Must have experience using basic hand tools such as ratchets, drills, grinders, etc.
  • Must be able to perform other tasking under direction of supervisor.
  • Transports materials; tools; and equipment to and within work sites as required.
  • Follows established policies and procedures for VLS work.
  • Operates hand and power equipment, including forklift, for material handling.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $17.00 - $23.00. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
