SCIENTIST PRINCIPAL

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Scientist Principal, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of US EPA. You will play a crucial role in supporting the EPA Analytical Service Branch with daily operations of the Contract Laboratory Program (CLP).
● Support EPA ASB by providing technical support to their inquires and development of guidance documents.
● Collaborate with your teammates supporting EPA ASB under the Superfund Quality and Sample Support (QSS) contract.
● Utilize your technical and CLP laboratory management experience to address internal and external inquiries.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your analytical chemistry and CLP laboratory Management expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Scientist Principal must have:
● Education: Ph.D.
● Experience: 15+ years of related experience
● Strong knowledge and extensive experience of EPA, DOE, DOD and NELAP quality manuals.
● Extensive experience in processing and reviewing data in a high volume production environment.
● Experienced in processing and reviewing data for EPA CLP methods, EPA methods 8081B, 8082A, 8151A, 8260D, 8270E, DRO, GRO and 600 series methods.
● Experienced in processing and reviewing data for PFAS methods: EPA method 1633, 8327, ASTM D8421 and D8535.
● Demonstrated record of effective interpersonal, people management and leadership skills; ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and priorities concurrently with the desire to provide creative and practical solutions.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $54.25 - $63.25. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
