MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Network Administrator Associate, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the U.S. Air Force at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH) on Oahu, Hawaii. You will play a crucial role in keeping the base network running and secure for the military and civilian customers who depend on it every day, while the base goes through a major network modernization under the Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) program.
● Support the daily operation and maintenance of the base network: run health checks, review monitoring and alerts, and work incidents to closure within the contract’s service level targets
● Collaborate with the site team and our Air Force counterparts working side by side, escalating early with good notes and communicating clearly with the customers who rely on this network for their mission
● Drive compliance and reliability by applying STIGs, working vulnerability scan findings, keeping device configurations current and backed up, and carrying out approved changes during scheduled maintenance windows, some on nights and weekends
● Utilize enterprise switching and routing equipment, network monitoring tools, and ITSM ticketing, and get out from behind the desk for preventive maintenance inspections in telecom rooms across the base, modernization installs and upgrades, and vendor hardware replacements
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Network Administrator Associate must have:
● Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
● Experience: 1+ years of hands on network experience in an enterprise, DoD, or military environment

● Security clearance level: Active Secret
● US citizenship required
● Security + (CE)
● Role requirements: Onsite at JBPHH, including work in telecom rooms across the base, after hours maintenance windows, and a turn in the team’s on call rotation
● Preferred: NOC or SOC experience; ACAS or Nessus; hands on Juniper Junos or Cisco IOS; CCNA, JNCIA, ITIL 4 Foundation, or a DoD 8140 advanced certification such as CompTIA SecurityX; military cyber transport or network background
