Cyber Battle Rhythm / Reporting Coordinator
Position Summary
The Cyber Battle Rhythm / Reporting Coordinator manages the daily operating cadence of a 24x7x365 cyber command center supporting national cyber defense across Critical Infrastructure, SLTT, and Federal Civilian partners. The role runs shift turnover, reporting cycles, and operational summaries to ensure predictable operations and seamless situational awareness across shifts. It is accountable for on‑schedule delivery of turnover records, summaries, and leadership updates, and for enforcing the discipline that produces them.
Key Responsibilities
Battle Rhythm Ownership
• Maintain the watch‑floor battle rhythm, including reporting cycles, checks, and coordination points.
• Ensure each recurring product has defined ownership, inputs, review, delivery time, and audience.
• Adjust and document rhythm changes as tempo, staffing, or coverage shift.
• Track adherence and surface gaps to the Watch Officer and leadership.
Operational Reporting
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly readiness and performance reports.
• Deliver operational summaries on floor activity, incident status, and emerging issues.
• Prepare leadership updates and event‑driven notifications with required accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure reporting derives from underlying operational records rather than after‑the‑fact reconstruction.
Audience & Release Handling
• Assign each product a defined audience and release scope, distinguishing internal vs partner distribution.
• Apply classification and handling rules and identify content requiring downgrade requests.
• Maintain accurate distribution so products reach only intended recipients.
Shift Turnover & Continuity
• Run structured turnover to give incoming shifts a complete picture of incidents, watch items, and actions.
• Maintain turnover records that support continuity, review, and compliance.
• Identify and correct continuity breakdowns before they affect operations.
• Ensure decision records capture what informed the decision and why.
Process Documentation & Improvement
• Maintain procedures, formats, and templates governing turnover and reporting.
• Work with governance to keep reporting procedures aligned with SOPs and work instructions.
• Recommend improvements that reduce manual work and increase quality and timeliness.
Coordination & Escalation Support
• Coordinate across watch‑floor roles and incident lifecycle teams to gather required inputs.
• Support the Watch Officer during high tempo by maintaining reporting continuity.
• Ensure escalations are accurately recorded with timing and disposition.
Required Qualifications
• Experience running or supporting the rhythm of a 24x7 operations center, watch floor, fusion center, or command center.
• Demonstrated experience producing recurring operational reporting under deadlines.
• Strong written communication skills, able to summarize technical activity for operational and leadership audiences.
• Experience documenting shift turnover and maintaining continuity records.
• Ability to coordinate inputs across multiple teams into a single accurate product.
• Technical training, certification, or degree, and 5 years of relevant experience.
• Active Top Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting national‑level cyber operations centers.
• Experience producing situational awareness or update products for a federal customer.
• Familiarity with NCISS or similar incident scoring frameworks.
• Experience with classification handling and downgrade requests.
