Job Description

We are GDIT. We support and secure some of the nation’s most complex government, defense, and intelligence missions. Our work has impact—on national security, our Intelligence Community (IC) partners, and on each of us who contribute to the mission.

This role requires an onsite presence in the Los Angeles area and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph at the time of application. Due to the nature of the work, we’re only able to move forward with candidates who already meet both requirements.

Key Responsibilities
The CI Investigator conducts a wide range of counterintelligence inquiries focused on identifying and addressing insider threats. In this role, you will:

• Analyze information from multiple sources and conduct comprehensive subject interviews
• Prepare detailed investigative reports and maintain case documentation
• Respond quickly to internal and external referrals related to potential threat activity
• Liaise regularly with IC partners, law enforcement, and military intelligence organizations
• Coordinate responses to complex CI and cyber concerns, including possible espionage, terrorism, and compromise of classified material
• Protect client equities and objectively assess threat information

Minimum Qualifications
• Experienced in interviewing, elicitation, and debriefing
• Prior interaction with IC agencies; familiarity with DoD CI collection requirements
• Completion of a recognized federal or state CI training program (FBI, FLETC, AFOSI, NCIS, Army MI, JCITA, DCITA, etc.)
• Ability to travel worldwide
• Relocation is at the candidate’s expense

Desired Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of federal laws, Executive Orders, and IC/DoD CI guidance
• Deep understanding of IC, CI, and law enforcement organizations and their roles
• Knowledge of adversary methods, CI operations, and security practices for protecting classified information
• Experience with CI research, analysis, and analytic reporting
• Familiarity with CI support to SCRM, CFIUS, R&D, critical infrastructure protection, and acquisition activities
• Working knowledge of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and related legal/ethical considerations
• Ability to conduct systematic interviews and produce accurate, complete reports
• Experience assessing CI leads from internal and external partners

Requirements Education:
• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience, or
• Master’s degree and 3+ years of related experience

Location:
Onsite in Los Angeles.
This position requires daily onsite collaboration. Remote or hybrid work is not available due to mission needs.
