Job Description

GDIT is seeking a mission‑driven Senior Technical Program Manager to lead a major federal IT and cloud modernization program in the DC Metro area. In this role, you will oversee end‑to‑end program delivery, guide modernization strategy, and lead multi‑disciplinary engineering teams across cloud, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, and software development. This is an opportunity to drive transformation at scale and directly impact mission‑critical federal systems.

What You’ll Do:
• Lead a large‑scale modernization program focused on application transformation, cloud adoption, and secure, scalable architectures.
• Manage program strategy, technical execution, schedule, performance, and contract compliance.
• Provide hands‑on leadership across Agile delivery, DevSecOps pipeline development, CI/CD automation, cloud engineering, and infrastructure modernization.
• Direct modernization of legacy systems, implement IaC, and drive best‑in‑class engineering practices.
• Oversee program financials including forecasting, budget planning, task order management, and contractual deliverables.
• Lead distributed teams of engineers, architects, analysts, and program staff across multiple disciplines.
• Build strong relationships with federal executives and mission stakeholders, facilitating program reviews, milestone briefings, and technical exchange sessions.
• Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks including FedRAMP, NIST 800‑53, CMMC, FISMA, ATO, and Zero Trust.
• Leverage Azure cloud services (IL2–IL6), automation tools, and emerging technologies such as AI/ML to accelerate modernization outcomes.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
• 7–10+ years leading federal IT modernization programs
Strong background in cloud modernization (Azure preferred), DevSecOps, and Agile delivery
• Experience overseeing complex technical teams and multi‑task order contracts
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements
• Experience with CI/CD, IaC, automation, and modern software engineering practices
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive briefing skills
Active Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred)

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $195,500 - $264,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
