Job Description

Guard II

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is the Prime contractor for the Flight School Training Support Services (FSTSS) program, which supports the Aviation Center of Excellence (AVCOE). Located in Daleville, Alabama, GDIT owns and operates the facilities that provide flight simulator training.

GDIT has an immediate opening for a Guard II. This position will require working non-traditional hours and weekends to meet customer requirements.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

  • Enforce regulations and procedures designed to prevent breaches of security
  • Exercises judgment and use discretion in responding to incidents and emergencies, determining whether to intervene directly,
  • Maintain control of situation and/or monitor surveillance
  • Escalate any incident or situation to the appropriate authority for handling as needed
  • Responding to alarms and notifying appropriate personal
  • Assisting customers and students with scheduling and verification of times of training
  • Writing daily reports and activity logs

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED
  • Required Experience: 1+ years of related experience
  • Required Technical Skills: Basis computer skills
  • Security Clearance Level: Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one
  • Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Specialized training in methods and techniques of protecting controlled areas is required
    • The ability to read, comprehend, and communicate in writing and verbally and be able react in a timely manner.
    • Focused customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment
    • General computer skills
    • Understand and apply regulations applying to functional area
    • Ability to walk and respond to emergencies in a timely manner
  • Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Location: Onsite at Daleville, AL
  • Available to work non-standard hours including weekends.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $24.13 - $23.01. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
