Job Description

INTELLIGENCE ANALYST ASSOCIATE

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking an entry-level intelligence analyst professional for an Associate Intelligence Analyst position. This will be a full-time employment position at the fusion center located in Los Angeles County.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT​:

The essential duties and tasks of the intelligence analyst assigned to the fusion center include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor current events, emerging threats, and relevant trends with potential impact to the operational area for situational awareness indications and warnings

  • Develop subject matter expertise on assigned public safety and security topics

  • Conduct all-source, integrated intelligence analysis relating to complex public safety and national security topics

  • Identify threats, trends, and new developments by analyzing raw information

  • Write short-suspense, all-source intelligence products based on varying sources of intelligence disciplines

  • Conduct briefings as needed for varying levels of customers

  • Conduct exhaustive database searches, extract information, and analyze the information

  • Prioritize, categorize, and respond to requests for information

  • Use computer-based applications, including graphics and presentation software, databases

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

  • Participate in special projects as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED​:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

  • A minimum of 2 years of research, analysis, and intelligence-oriented experience

  • Basic experience conducting all-source intelligence analysis, trend analysis, and formal briefs

  • Competency in developing and implementing strategic, mission-support initiatives

  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

  • Proven ability to successfully engage and collaborate with federal, state, local, and tribal public safety agency executives

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

  • Basic writing and public speaking skills to include briefings of public safety executives and public officials at all levels of government

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Desired: an active Secret security clearance; Top Secret eligible

Additional Requirements

  • Must complete a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) background check every two years to retain position at the fusion center.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $53,310 - $69,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
