Job Description

Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges. We are seeking multi-disciplined Security Specialists to join the F-35 JPO program in Arlington, VA.

We are hiring multiple Security Specialists that meet one or more of the disciplines below.

The F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) supports development, acquisition, fielding, modernization, and sustainment of the F-35 joint strike fighter. The F-35 JPO Security Directorate provides full spectrum multi-disciplined security support to protect F-35 technology and information across its enterprise and throughout the acquisition and sustainment lifecycle.  This includes providing advice and services for programmatic security measures that deny unauthorized access to F-35 facilities, equipment, and resources, and protect personnel, information, and property from damage and/or loss of technology.

Disciplines include:

  • Program Protection - supports Program Protection (P2) Security Support throughout the acquisition and sustainment lifecycles for Critical Program Information (CPI), Mission Critical Components (MCC), and Mission Critical Functions (MCF. Conducting all Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) functions to protect the F-35 supply chain
  • Security Control Assessor – Lead - perform all six steps RMF/JSIG processes, with a focus on Steps 4 and 5, Assessing Security Controls and Authorizing the System. Clean and sanitize RAM/ROM/EPROM/EEPROM/FPGA and RAID/SCSI.
  • Generalists - support and provide SME-level guidance across a broad set of security disciplines. SFPC/PSC Certification within one year of hire. Support includes SETA, OPSEC, AT/FP, Insider Threat, P2, Export Compliance and LO/CLO support.
  • Industrial – ensuring security requirements and other security documentation (such as DD Forms 254s) in support of the JPO classified contracts are appropriately identified and implemented in accordance with organizational requirements; CPI, MCC, and MCF are protected at industry locations; Industrial Security Oversight Certification (CDSE) within one year of hire
  • International - support tasks and provide SME-level guidance related to foreign military sales (FMS) of the F-35; Demonstrated knowledge of DoDM 5205.07 Volumes Demonstrated knowledge of Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705
  • Operations (OPSEC) - assist with the identification and implementation of protection measures for Critical Program Information (CPI), Mission Critical Components (MCC), and Mission Critical Functions (MCF); Development and implementation of an approved OPSEC Plan to protect JPO CPI, MCC, and MCF across the enterprise.
  • Physical Security - support management of physical security, to include active and passive measures, designed to prevent unauthorized access to personnel, equipment, installations, materials, and information; and to safeguard them against espionage, sabotage, terrorism, damage, and criminal activity; Visitor Control Support and Secure Facility Construction Support; PSC required within 1 year.

Required for all positions:

  • Master’s Degree and 10 years of experience or a BS and 14 years are required
  • Minimum Secret clearance: some positions require TS with SCI eligibility

Other Possible Requirements:

  • Valid US Passport - Ability to travel globally on short notice for extended periods of time.
  • Capability to lift 50 pounds of equipment and/or aircraft parts.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
