Join our growing AI & Data team as an Operations Assistant Manager and help accelerate some of the most impactful internal AI and Data initiatives at GDIT.

This is an ideal role for early‑career project managers who enjoy working in a dynamic environment and want to deepen their experience in AI, cloud, and emerging technologies — without needing a technical background on day one. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Operations Assistant Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the GDIT AI and Data organization.

  • Manage and coordinate internal AI/Data project cycles
  • Work closely with senior management to improve team efficiency and execution
  • Track tasks, timelines, risks, and priorities to keep projects moving
  • Streamline workflows and support process improvements across the AI & Data organization
  • Use AI tools every day to automate, research, summarize, and enhance team productivity
  • Create clear communications, reports, and presentations for leadership
  • Support cross‑functional collaboration with AI, Data, Engineering, and Security stakeholders
  • Act as an internal advocate for responsible and effective AI use


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your project/task management expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Operations Assistant Manager must have:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience; with 1+ years being direct project or program management experience
  • Technical skills: Comfortable using AI tools daily and discussing high-level AI/ML concepts. Familiarity with Agile or similar methodologies.

  • Role requirements:
    • Strong organizational skills and an interest in improving operational processes
    • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels
    • A curious, proactive mindset and willingness to learn
  • Preferred Skills:
    • PMP or AI and cloud-related certifications (or willingness to obtain)
    • Familiarity with AI and cloud technology
    • Experience supporting technical teams
  • Location: Remote

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $97,968 - $110,400. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
