Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to support a mission-critical defense program in Oahu, Hawaii. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides technical expertise in developing, implementing, and maintaining robust cybersecurity solutions to meet system-wide information security requirements.
  • Supports certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation by reviewing content for completeness and compliance and applying system security engineering expertise across areas such as system security design, risk management, cross-domain solutions, encryption, and intrusion detection.
  • Performs system installation, configuration maintenance, account management, patching, signature maintenance, and troubleshooting for Information Assurance (IA) and Cyber Network Defense (CND) systems.
  • Establishes and satisfies information security requirements based on user needs, policies, regulations, and resource demands, while providing leadership and guidance to junior staff.
  • Coordinates with senior representatives from customer organizations to address program goals, milestones, resources, and risks.
  • Applies subject matter expertise to both common user information systems and specialized security systems, including classified networks.
  • Ensures compliance with cybersecurity principles (confidentiality, integrity, availability, non-repudiation, and access control) and performs incident handling, security testing, auditing, and contingency planning.
  • Provides work oversight to ensure accuracy, adherence to deadlines, and the successful management of multiple tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: 5–6 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity or information systems security.
  • Clearance: Active TS clearance (SCI eligibility preferred)

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
