RESTORE SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
● Assist in the restoration of files, profiles, and mailboxes using backup applications NetBackup, Avamar, and Commvault
● Willing to work in Data Center to facilitate tape movements for data restores.
● Assist customers with file management, profile standards, and e-mail organization
● Profile and permission structure knowledge
● Resolution and ticket handling awareness to align to SLA obtainment
● Develops, manages and tests backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
● Develops and maintains disaster recovery plans for critical systems and services.
● Participates in disaster recover drills and business continuity planning.
● Maintains detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
● Creates reports on system performance, security incidents, and other key metrics.
● Coordinates with other IT teams to ensure coordinated delivery of IT services.
● Provides recommendations for system improvements based on analysis and industry best practices.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Restore System Administrator must have:
● Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
● Experience: 5+ years of related experience
● Technical skills: Critical thinker, Quick Learner, Detail Oriented, and Organizational skills. Ability to work well independently, Verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers, and technical support skills.
● Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/Poly
● US citizenship required
● Role requirements: Provides support to end users and other IT staff by resolving complex hardware, software, and system related issues.
● Must be 8570 compliant with a Security+ Certification
● Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

The likely salary range for this position is $107,744 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
