Job Description:

Help shape the U.S. Navy’s space, aerospace, and tactical Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems as a Database Engineer.

Our work depends on a Database Engineer joining our team to provide onsite Systems Engineering and Development support to the Naval Research Lab (NRL) in Washington, D.C. Program support will extend across the entire space/ground spectrum of hardware, software and advanced technologies including digital processing, as well as system engineering.

Responsibilities:

· Apply full-spectrum software development methodologies and practices, including traditional structured programming as well as object-oriented programming techniques and broad utilization of current software development tools within numerous environments.

o Key tasks include planning, design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of complex technical software systems.

· Produce technical and user documentation, perform training and system orientation, and consult with related development teams throughout the software development life cycle.

· Develop and implement databases to store raw data collection, Multi-INT fusion products necessary to support dissemination to the end user.

· Leverage knowledge of terrestrial and space surveillance methodologies, sensor technologies and capabilities to envision new modes of operation via an evolutionary development process.

· Design enterprise computing and architecture for ground-based analysis systems, to include system information modeling and database design.

· Incorporate system architecture using enterprise design, business process modeling (BPM), workflow implementation, and web-based/semantics-based development methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience:

· 10 years’ relevant experience

· Experience supporting complex Multi-INT processing from initial planning and design to final installation and maintenance.

· Full spectrum software development skills.

· Knowledge of terrestrial and space surveillance methodologies, sensor technologies, and capabilities.

Education & Certifications:

· B.S. degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent degree

Security Clearance: 

· Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $83,927 - $113,549. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
