As a Help Desk Technician III, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. You will play a crucial role in assisting in the planning, design, implementation, and deployment of applications aimed at automating
KMSO/ITSO and their clients' business processes, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and compliance with both federal and departmental regulations.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

The Help Desk Technician IV must be able to:
• Provide a high level of technical support and service to our onsite and remote customers.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, problem solving, and desire to provide a great customer experience.
• Deliver excellent customer service via phone, chat, email, tickets and deskside support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with both Microsoft Windows and MacOS.
• Diagnoses hardware, software, and user problems and recommends corrective actions or procedural changes.
�� Support SharePoint and Power Platform based applications as well as .NET custom solutions.
• Document and track customer incidents and requests via ticketing management system.
• Follow resolution process and efficiently escalating tickets to appropriate teams when applicable.
• Isolate and resolve issues with individual workstations.
• Serve as subject matter expert to answer questions about hardware and software related issues.
• Use advanced skills to set up shared drives, map network drives, install and update software, etc.
TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST HAVE:
• An associates of arts/sssociates of science; AND
• 5 or more years of related experience
• An ability to obtain and maintain a public trust (enter on duty)
• Demonstrated technical support, networking, application support, problem solving
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication, collaborative and adaptable
• Louisiana Residency living within a commutable distance; within 60 miles of GDIT facility in Bossier City, LA

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $26.84 - $36.32. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
