Job Description

We are seeking a highly capable Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst to support program reporting, data analysis, dashboard development, and data quality activities. The Analyst will develop and maintain Tableau dashboards, produce analytical products for program leadership, manage SQL-based reporting datasets, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all reporting outputs. This role requires strong technical abilities, analytical thinking, and the communication skills needed to engage stakeholders and present insights clearly.

HOW AN INTELLIGENCE SR MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Program Reporting & Dashboard Development

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Tableau dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Design and implement reusable reporting templates for recurring use.
• Build drill‑down and interactive analytical capabilities to support program reporting needs.
• Update dashboards based on evolving stakeholder requirements.
• Ensure dashboard performance, accuracy, reliability, and user experience.
 

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze operational and performance datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and key indicators.
• Develop and deliver recurring analytical reports for program monitoring.
• Respond to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from stakeholders.
• Create analytical products that support program reviews and management decision-making.
 

SQL Data Development & Management

• Write and optimize SQL queries to support reporting and analytics.
• Build and maintain reporting datasets and data models.
• Support extraction, transformation, and preparation of source data.
• Work within Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
 

Data Quality, Validation & Reporting Integrity

• Validate incoming datasets used in reporting and dashboard products.
• Identify and document data quality issues, discrepancies, and gaps.
• Participate in resolving data quality deficiencies.
• Verify reporting outputs for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
 

Stakeholder Support & Presentations

• Participate in meetings with program leadership, government stakeholders, and external partners.
• Present dashboards, analytical products, and data findings as needed.
• Support recurring program reporting cycles and review sessions.
 

Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Document reporting methodologies, analytical processes, and dashboard logic.
• Maintain documentation of data sources, business rules, calculations, and assumptions.
• Maintain reporting procedures, SOPs, and operating instructions.
• Support knowledge transfer and training activities for program staff.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, technical, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or reporting roles.
• Experience developing Tableau dashboards and analytical visualizations.
• Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
• Experience analyzing operational or performance datasets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Federal government program experience.
  • Telecommunications industry experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SSMS.
  • Experience with Azure Storage Explorer.
  • Experience with Python and Jupyter Notebook environments.
  • Experience developing executive-level reporting products

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $70,658 - $86,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
