Our work depends on Oracle Database Administrator joining our IT Technology Operations division within the NCIS ITD organization in Quantico, VA.
The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is an organization of approximately 2,000 personnel of which 700 serve at HQ and the remaining staff serve at offices worldwide. NCIS is the DON component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counter-terrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters. NCIS not only has primary responsibility for all criminal investigative, CI, CT, and cyber matters within the DON, but it also has exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage, and subversive activities.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Oracle Database Administrator , the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the IT Technology Operations division within the NCIS ITD organization in Quantico, VA.
Create dynamic web pages using HTML, Oracle mod_plsql, Oracle webforms and oracle apex
Maintain existing Oracle mod_plsql packages, Oracle and webforms and oracle apex
Create and maintain Oracle tables
Design and maintain Oracle packages
Patch Oracle systems as required
Upgrade Oracle systems as required
Monitor Oracle environments
Create and maintain procedures to Create, Read, and Delete critical data
Manage data migration to include the migration plan, cleansing, transformation, and testing
Maintain analytical systems, verifies the accuracy of the data, and acts as liaison with business
Maintain security and integrity controls
Perform data analysis/testing of the results of data migration scripts and stored procedures to verify and validate the successful migration of data from a legacy database to a new database (both Oracle 11g)
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Security Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain SCI access after hire.
Required Experience:
8+ years of experience in database and data management
Experience with the following:
o Oracle 18c or higher incl Oracle RAC
o Strong Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and query performance tuning
o Strong front end Scripting experience, JavaScript
o Strong HTML, CSS, AJAX and JSON experience
o Experience with Law Enforcement Data (major plus)
Experience with Linux based systems hosting Oracle engines
Experience in a fast-paced environment with a proven engineering, development, deployment, and maintenance of business-critical systems -- to include hands-on solutions development and implementation experience
Ability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end users
Ability to establish and document new standards for quality, performance or productivity
Certification Requirement: CompTIA Security+ CE (Current DoD 8570 - IAT Level II)
Education: BS degree. Additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Work Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite in Quantico VA and 2 days remote.
US Citizenship required

The likely salary range for this position is $142,792 - $189,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
