Counterintelligence Specialist MID

HOW A COUNTERINTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST MID WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Our work depends on a Mid‑Level Counterintelligence Specialist to support defense and security efforts within the Pacific theater.  You will identify, assess, and counter Foreign Intelligence Entity (FIE) threats across the Indo‑Pacific region. This role supports CI analysis, targeting, investigations, operations, and threat mitigation efforts to protect U.S. personnel, facilities, operations, and critical technologies within the Pacific theater.

As a Mid‑Level Counterintelligence Specialist, you will:

  • Identify, monitor, and assess Foreign Intelligence Entity (FIE) efforts targeting sensitive U.S. personnel, activities, and national‑security operations, including threats arising from emerging technologies.
  • Apply knowledge of foreign intelligence capabilities, activities, and tradecraft to produce all‑source CI analysis, studies, and strategies.
  • Conduct in‑depth analytic research and develop CI assessments supporting operational planning and risk mitigation.
  • Develop, produce, and present training programs and programs of instruction related to CI collection operations TTPs for HUMINT and technical intelligence disciplines under DoW authorities.
  • Coordinate across staff elements to synchronize planning with J3 planners and CI operations executors.
  • Conduct Subject Matter Expert (SME) reviews of proposed and ongoing offensive CI operations to evaluate risk vs. gain and provide recommendations to the Command Counterintelligence Coordinating Authority (CCICA).
  • Coordinate and deconflict CI operational activities with CCMDs, component commands, and sub‑unified commands to obtain operational feedback and validate requirements.
  • Coordinate with OFCO executors on operational updates, feedback, deconfliction, and planning inputs.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of Offensive CI Operations briefings to executive‑level leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 8 yrs related experience. At least a portion of your experience must be in the last 2 yrs.

Required Skills:

  •  Possess CI agent certification and experience in the conduct of Offensive CI Operations.
  • Completion of an in‑residence Fundamentals of Intelligence Analysis course or U.S. Military equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of foreign intelligence organizations, intelligence‑collection tradecraft, and CI methodologies.
  • Ability to independently conduct CI analysis and produce high‑quality CI intelligence products.
  • Experience coordinating with multiple DoW and IC stakeholders on operational CI issues.
  • Excellent briefing skills, with the ability to communicate risk, operational status, and recommended actions to senior military and civilian leaders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Completion of the Advanced Foreign CI Training Course.
  • Prior experience supporting Indo-Asia-Pacific theater or another Combatant Command CI enterprise.
  • Experience in CI targeting, foreign influence analysis, operational coordination, or interagency CI deconfliction.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
