AI/ML Architect

The Lead AI/ML Solution Architect is responsible for driving multiple customer solution design projects in parallel, focusing on cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications. This role requires conducting comprehensive business and technical discovery with customers to identify novel AI/ML solutions, architectures, and use cases that directly support customer objectives and drive program success.

HOW A LEAD AI/ML ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Provide robust, data-driven recommendations for AI/ML engagements, clearly identifying critical dependencies, gaps, and risks.
• Utilizing a balanced mix of business acumen and deep technical expertise to articulate high-level AI/ML solutions to complex business problems and quantitatively tie these solutions to program success criteria.
• Architect enterprise‑level AI/ML solutions including predictive analytics, NLP, computer vision, and generative AI.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to ensure AI/ML designs integrate smoothly with system architecture and DevSecOps pipelines.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Advanced degree preferred for work involving complex AI model design.

Experience

• 5 years of progressively responsible experience designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-level AI/ML solutions.
• Proven ability to lead and drive multiple parallel, complex customer AI/ML solution design projects from inception to quote.
• A track record of finding, proposing, and architecting novel AI/ML solutions, architectures, and use cases (e.g., predictive modeling, natural language processing, computer vision, generative AI).
• Proficiency in conducting rigorous cost-benefit analysis and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for modern, state-of-the-art AI/ML information systems.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Expertise in ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit‑learn.
• Hands‑on experience with modern cloud AI platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google Vertex AI).
• Understanding of model governance, explainability, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
• Strong knowledge of data engineering, feature pipelines, and training workflows.
• Ability to design AI/ML deployment patterns within CI/CD and DevSecOps environments.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Exceptional communication skills for presenting complex AI concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong leadership abilities and a collaborative approach across multidisciplinary Agile teams.
• Strategic problem‑solving skills to translate business challenges into measurable AI opportunities.
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks related to data, models, security, and operational performance.
• Comfort balancing innovation with practical constraints and real‑world mission needs.

SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL: Ability to pass a security background check

Location: remote, with some travel
