***This position is hybrid with 3 days of working onsite at the client office in Silver Spring, MD and/or the GDIT Gaithersburg office.


HOW A SENIOR DATA ANALYST PRINCIPAL WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Performs data analysis, interpretation, and management duties. Develops rules and methodologies for data collection and analysis.
  • Provides expert knowledge for the design, development, build, analysis of database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture.
  • Helps to define and document database team processes that keep the project organized and efficient.
  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
  • Advises applications developers on data-based solutions to business problems, adherence to project-level database standards.
  • Create scripts for, and promotes structural and data changes between database environments.
  • Ensures new design patterns follow established database standards for the project.
  • Helps maintain standard database documentation, e.g., Data Dictionaries.
  • Helps to validates accuracy of data migration.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelors and 10+ years of related experience.
  • Experience creating complex SQL for queries, procedures, data migration, ETL, ELT.
  • Experience with Oracle Relational Database development and Oracle SQL Developer.
  • Extensive experience defining and documenting database team processes.
  • Expertise maintaining standard database documentation.
  • Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance, which requires residency in the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $142,792 - $167,900. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
