The ideal candidate will possess a strategic outlook and vision, with demonstrated expertise in coordinating across diverse organizations, including OSD, Joint Staff, CCJ5, and U.S. Embassy teams such as Security Cooperation Officers (SCOs) and Senior Defense Officials (SDOs). This role requires a proactive individual capable of driving collaboration and delivering results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As an Interoperability & Engagements Planner, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USCENTCOM. You will play a critical role in advancing USCENTCOM's Cyber Defense Pillar within the Regional Security Construct (RSC). The selected candidate will lead efforts to build cyber capacity across partner nations in the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). By supporting planning, coordination, and execution of key engagements, this individual will directly contribute to strengthening regional security, enhancing interoperability, and fostering enduring partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning and executing cybersecurity engagements with USCENTCOM partner nations.
  • Develop, document, and maintain a partner nation cybersecurity engagement plan.
  • Responsible for all coordination with the appropriate SCO/embassies, to include meeting objectives, agendas, anticipated outputs, travel logistics, and documentation of country specific C4/cybersecurity requirements and POA&Ms for government approval.
  • Coordinate with the SCO, service components, and U.S. partners to develop POA&Ms and track actions.
  • Draft recommendations to integrate Significant Security Cooperation Initiatives (SSCIs) for inclusion into USCENTCOM Security Cooperation processes.
  • Provide technical expertise to drafted C4/Cybersecurity assessments and when required, author country specific C4/cybersecurity assessments.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bring your cyber expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Cyber Operations Planner Principal must have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in communication, computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Certification: Must possess DoW 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security +CE) prior to hire.
  • Experience: 8+ years of related experience
  • Technical skills:
    • Knowledge of the Joint Planning Process (JP 5-0)
    • Familiarity with U.S. Department of War (DoW), Service, and Joint Task Force communications policies and procedures.
    • Understanding of DoW & Combatant Command roles and responsibilities.
    • Understanding of Security Operations Center (SOC) functions.
    • Experience briefing/engaging with senior military and government leaders.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Security clearance level: TS/SCI
  • US citizenship required

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $112,840 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
