Senior Network Engineer
Position Summary
The Senior Network Engineer serves as the technical lead for the design, implementation, optimization, and sustainment of AWAKEN’s enterprise network infrastructure. This role leads the engineering of terrestrial connectivity (inside plant), wired and wireless topology, RF design, and network capacity planning to ensure reliable, secure, and mission‑ready connectivity across AETC’s 25+ installations.
This position combines deep hands‑on engineering (≈70%) with architecture, documentation, and coordination responsibilities (≈30%), supporting enterprise modernization, Wi‑Fi expansion, cloud‑integrated designs, and Zero‑Trust–aligned network segmentation.

Location: : San Antonio area; located within 25 miles of JBSA‑Randolph, TX
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Customer: Air Education and Training Command (AETC), United States Air Force

U.S. Citizenship Required
The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
