Job Description

GDIT seeks a strategic, mission‑driven executive to lead a premier portfolio of programs supporting the nation’s most critical Federal Financial agencies. This leader will drive growth, strengthen customer engagement, and elevate delivery excellence across programs that underpin the security, resilience, and transparency of the U.S. financial system. The ideal candidate combines deep federal financial domain expertise with a passion for innovation, an ability to cultivate high‑performing teams, and a proven record of expanding complex portfolios. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Federal Financial Business Area Senior Director, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of customers in the Federal Financials domain. You will play a crucial role in delivering GDIT's suite of emerging technologies to help Federal Financial customers achieve their mission. In this role you will:

  • Lead the portfolio and setting the strategic and operating plan for the Financial Agencies Business Area;

  • Perform financial management with profit and loss responsibility for the portfolio, with the responsibility to meet or exceed financial targets;

  • Provide customer and technical oversight of the portfolio, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and superior service delivery;

  • Drive growth – in collaboration with the Sector and Division resources; delivering a strong book-to-bill, re-compete wins, and YoY new business growth;

  • Ensure alignment with Sector, Division and Company strategy and objectives;

  • Manage and optimize an effective and efficient team focused on high quality delivery, financial performance, and client relationship development;

  • Develop a short- and long-term growth strategy with related tactical execution plans that will drive top line and bottom-line growth for the team;

  • Build and manage an effective and efficient team focused on high quality delivery, financial performance, and client relationship development;

  • Engage the leverage services arm of the company to bring our capabilities in cloud, infrastructure, applications development, AI/ML and related services to existing and potentially new clients; and

  • Reinforce the GDIT culture through accountability, curiosity and learning, results and impact, and positive energy.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Public Trust (PT)

  • US Person required

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in managing/leading IT and professional services program portfolio; experience leading full P&L responsibilities for a portfolio of programs of $50M/yr + with positive net margin performance

  • Established hands-on experience managing programs of significance – both execution and financial focus

  • Demonstrated experience building strong customer relationships specifically in multiple Federal Financial agencies including, but not limited to Treasury, IRS, SEC and FDIC, and driving business growth

  • Proficiency in building a business strategy that drives growth and execution

  • Leadership qualities that translate into business outcomes – specifically around team building and cohesion, client relationship development, and strategic thinking around enterprise business matters

  • Demonstrated experience and success mounting new business capture campaigns, and hands-on engagement in developing capture strategy and proposal development  

  • Demonstrated experience leading business and technical briefings for senior and executive management and for external customer executives

  • Ability and flexibility for travel local and within the U.S.

  • Outstanding communication capabilities, both verbal and written.  Must have the ability to present in front of audiences of any size

  • Exemplary attention to detail in all aspects of work product

  • Location: Hybrid (at least 3 days/week in person) to Falls Church, Virginia office

  • Travel requirements: 5-10%

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $229,500 - $310,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
