MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Training Specialist Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of Mine Warfare Training Center (MWTC). You will play a crucial role in LCS Mine Counter-Measures (MCM) .
● Seeking a Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Mine Counter-Measures (MCM) Warfare Trainer and Subject Matter Expert (SME) having recently served on LCS or with operational fleet experience and qualifications in Mine Counter-Measures (MCM) Operations, Combat System Training Team (CSTT technical and tactical), and Mine Warfare Evaluator (MIWE).
● Primary MWTC LCS instruction includes LCS MCM USV Payload Delivery System, LCS MCM USV Fundamentals, LCS MCM USV Operator, MIW Evaluator and Post Mission Analysis.
● Training includes tactical employment of the MIW and MCM systems; capabilities and limitations; employment of automated systems; mission planning and execution; and tactical communications. Must be capable of conducting conventional knowledge-based classroom teaching and performance/scenario-based laboratory training in normal, abnormal, and emergency operation environments. When required, the candidate would provide subject matter expertise in support of curriculum development for LCS courses.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your LCS Mine Warfare expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Training Specialist Senior must have:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work/military experience.
● Experience: 5+ years of related experience with Mine Warfare (MIW)/Mine Counter-Measures (MCM) as either a maintenance technician supervisor or operator supervisor with responsibility for teaching the applicable system or function task to others in a journeyman level training environment. Of the five years, one (1) year of experience as an Instructor/Trainer in a Navy Training Environment, to include presentation skills, public speaking, curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items, evaluating instructional materials and the results of instruction.
● Experience as an Instructor/Trainer and/or a Master/Afloat Training Specialist in support of SCSTC/TACTRAGRU/ATG is a significant plus. Must be able to support training with extended periods on your feet while instructing. Travel may be required up to 10% of time.
● Security clearance level: Secret

The likely salary range for this position is $70,658 - $94,300. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
