Role Overview:
The Senior Director, Employee Relations and Employee Care will be responsible for overseeing and evolving enterprise-wide programs that create a thriving workplace culture.

Partnering closely with leadership at all levels, this individual will lead the development and execution of strategies ensuring our policies, practices, and initiatives meet business goals and nurture employee well-being.

This role strategically integrates four (4) essential functions under employee care:
● Employee Relations: Craft strategies to enable positive resolution of workplace matters while protecting a fair and ethical workplace
● Ethics: Promote a culture of integrity by reinforcing standards on ethical conduct
● Workplace Accommodations: Develop thoughtful, innovative solutions to ensure employees with various needs are accommodated and empowered
● Employee Recognition (Bravo!): Lead initiatives that celebrate our workforce, reinforce our company's values, and promote a sense of community

As a key partner to the leadership team, this role is critical to ensuring we maintain an inclusive, respectful, and engaging workplace that aligns with legal requirements and reinforces our company values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Program Development

    • Design and implement enterprise-wide strategies for employee relations, ethics, workplace accommodations, and recognition that align with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.

    • Drive continuous improvements in employee satisfaction and foster a culture of engagement, transparency, and trust.

    • Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership by connecting employee care strategies to broader company objectives.

  • Employee Relations

    • Oversee investigations into employee concerns, workplace conflicts, and policy violations with fairness, confidentiality and efficiency.

    • Collaborate with leaders to provide guidance on sensitive issues, including employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and risk assessments.

    • Regularly evaluate policies, ensuring they promote an equitable workplace and prioritize prompt and effective case management.

  • Workplace Accommodations

    • Manage workplace accommodations efforts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws (e.g., ADA) while fostering organizational agility.

    • Proactively address employee accommodation needs and implement innovative solutions to remove barriers to productivity and inclusivity.

  • Recognition & Engagement

    • Lead and refine the employee recognition program to honor outstanding employee contributions aligned with the company culture and values.

    • Consult with internal stakeholders on innovative approaches to address enterprise-wide engagement strategies.

  • Operational Excellence & Compliance

    • Design and implement policies, procedures, and reporting systems that align with legal requirements, internal standards, and industry best practices.

    • Use data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of employee care initiatives and provide actionable insights into challenges and opportunities.

    • Maintain vendor relationships and manage departmental budgets to achieve goals


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
The Senior Director, Employee Relations and Employee Care, must have:
● Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
● Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience managing large-scale employee relations and accommodations programs
● Technical skills: Deep knowledge of employment laws, workplace accommodations compliance (e.g., ADA and EEOC)
● Skills & Competencies:

  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to address sensitive matters confidentially and diplomatically.

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills; able to guide data-driven improvements.

  • Forward-thinking and agile, with the ability to balance compliance needs with creative solutions.

  • Proven leadership skills, with experience mentoring, inspiring, and scaling high-performing teams.

● Preferred Role requirements:

  • Legal degree or Master’s degree in HR, Organizational Leadership, or a related discipline.

  • Experience leading enterprise-wide employee recognition programs.

  • Background in cross-functional collaboration for large, dispersed, or global enterprises.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $204,000 - $276,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
